(See Husband's notes)
Margaret served as a nurse in the Revolutionary war while her husband
served for the Pennsylvania Troops.
Margaret sat under a certain spreading maple tree during the services
in the woods and requested that she be buried under that tree. This
area became the cemetary and church that still remain today. (D.A.R.
Plaque number 1743-1809 #99898.)
Her gravestone is worded,
"Reader remember, all must die
As you are now, so once was I
As I am now, thou soon must be
Prepare for death and follow me."
